SENARIO PENYAKIT JANTUNG DI MALAYSIA

PENYAKIT koronari jantung (CHD) atau penyakit jantung kronik antara punca kematian terbesar di kalangan penduduk di negara ini. Ia turut menjadi ancaman maut di negara-negara besar lain seperti Rusia, Amerika Selatan dan Utara, Australia, New Zealand dan Eropah.

Bahkan diramalkan ia bakal menjadi 'pembunuh dalam senyap' utama seluruh benua di dunia menjelang tahun 2020.

Mengikut perangkaan Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO) pada tahun 2002, satu pertiga daripada kematian manusia di seluruh dunia adalah disebabkan oleh serangan jantung.

Daripada jumlah tersebut sebanyak 40 hingga 75 peratus pesakit yang terkena serangan jantung meninggal dunia sebelum sempat mendapatkan rawatan di hospital.

Persoalannya berapa ramaikah rakyat di negara ini mengetahui dengan jelas mengenai CHD) dan siapakah golongan berisiko menghidapi penyakit berbahaya ini?

"Jawapannya mudah sesiapa pun berisiko untuk diserang CHD kerana penyakit ini banyak berkait rapat dengan gaya hidup seseorang," kata Perunding Kardiologi dari Pusat Perubatan Tropicana, Kota Damansara, Selangor, Dr. Haizal Haron Kamar.

How to design beautiful in MS Word

I have just taken part in an Environment Protection club. And this week we are organizing an activity-to call on people to protect our forest. And my job is to make a notice, which will be delivered to people that day. You know, a beautiful sign notice will attract more attention of people. It is a pity that except Word I cannot use this kind of softwares such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver and so on. Can I use Microsoft Word to make a beautiful sign?

1. Start a new document to get ready. Choose "Page Layout", and there are many choices.
   
2. First, choose "Margins" > "Custom Margins" .
   
3. You set up the margins 0.5 as follows to make the sign use most available space.
   
4. Set Gutter Position as Left and Orientation as Landscape.
   
5. Choose "Apply to whole document" in Apply to drop-down list so that you can see the entire page. Then click "OK" .
   
6. The page has a little differences.
7. Choose "Insert", and click the Shapes arrow. Then select the Rectangle.
   
8. A rectangle appears on the page.
   
9. Click "Format" to choose one style from shape styles.
   
10. The selected shape style is as follows.
    
11. Follow the steps of making rectangles to make another below the first one. And then hold on "Shift" key; at the same time, click one rectangle and then another.
12. Right mouth click, "Grouping" > "Group".
    
13. The two rectangles are together.
    
14. Click "Insert" > "Text Box".
    
15. You can also set up the second recntangle. Change the color and weight as follows. Then click "OK" .
    
16. You will get two rectangles' outline the same color .
    
17. Click the arrow, and choose "Draw Text box".
    
18. You can also set up the text box. Click the Color arrow and select "No Fill".
    
19. Click the "Shape Outline" , and choose "No Outline".
    
20. Type your words into the textbox.
    
21. To make your sign more pretty, you can insert pictures. Click Insert-> Illustrations-> Picture.
    
22. Click "Insert" > "Picture" and the picture is on the page.
    
23. Now, you have designed beautiful signs in word.
    
24. You can save it and then print it. Then you can deliver it to people in the activity.
    

Tips

I just display the main steps, and there are really many details you can make your decisions by yourselves. For example, the words' color, size and formats, you can adjust them as you make your normal word documents. Moreover, select the background's color and pictures to match your theme.

Text Animation in MS Word

Most of people know that we can add animations to the text in Microsoft PowerPoint. They may have no idea about the animations in Microsoft Word. As we guess, we can also make animations in word documents for the text. It is very useful for people who are used to using word not PowerPoint to give presentations. Then, I will introduce the steps as follows.

1. Open your word document.
   
2. Select the text you want to make animations for.
   
3. Choose "Format" in the menu and then click "Font".
4. A dialog box pops up. Click "Text Effects" on the top.
   
5. You will see some options in the list.
   
6. Choose one and you can see the "Preview" below.
   
7. If you are satisfied with the effect, click "OK".
   
8. Then you can see the animation in the text.
   
9. The animation is beautiful, isn't it?

Tips

It is a pity that you can't make text animations in Word 2007. Word 2007 have deleted this function. Luckily if you use the text effect in word 2003 and earlier version, you can also see the effect when you open the document in Word 2007. Moreover, you can copy the text with animations from Word 2003 and then copy it to Word 2007. Another thing is that you can just select one animation effect at a time.
